One of the most popular card games in casino, baccarat has quite a few variations and the one discussed here is the mini-baccarat, usually seen at casinos outside Las Vegas and Atlantic City. The objective of the game is very simple, actually. The player and the banker will be given a two cards draw each at first. The player and the banker have the option of either hitting for another card or stand by the cards. The most number of cards that each player can have is only three. The purpose of the game would be to get as close as possible to the value of nine. The player must get as close to nine as possible when compared to the banker.
Betting
As with the betting, you have the option of either betting on the player, banker, or for tie. If you placed the bet on the player, which is you, there is a house advantage of about 1.24%, while if you placed the bet on the banker side, the house advantage is of about 1.06%. The commission for the house when you bet on the banker is about 5%. If you placed your bet on the tie, it has a higher house advantage of about 14.44%.
Rules of the game
There is nothing complicated about the rules of the game either. Each card of the deck has the value of the number of the card except for the cards 10, J, Q, K, and A. The card 10, J, Q, and K have the value of 0 while the card A has the value of 1. The total of the two cards drawn represents only a single digit value. Let’s say that you as the player have the card of 8 and 9. The value of your hand would be 7 instead of 17 as the ten is dropped from it. This means that you will not have a bust card.
When you, the player, or the banker have a total of either 8 or 9 at your hands, you will automatically stand and no card will be further drawn. If you have a total of either 6 or 7 at your hand, you stand. If your card is of 0 to 5, then, you will draw a third card. When a player stand, which means that he or she has a total of 6 to 9, the banker would has to hit if the total is 5 or below.
For the banker, if the player drew the third card and the total at banker’s hand is of 0 to 2, then, the banker will draw a third card. If the banker’s total is 3, banker will draw if the third card of the player is of all but 8. If the banker’s total is 4, banker will craw if the third card of the player is of 2 to 7. If the banker’s total is 5, banker will draw if the third card of the player is of 4 to 7. If the banker’s total is 6, banker will draw if the third card of the player is either 6 or 7. If the total of the banker’s hand is 7, then, banker can stand.
